Recycle Balls
Approximately 300 million tennis balls worldwide end up in landfills where they will take over 400 years to decompose. This help, Markham Tennis Academy is proud to partner with Recycle Balls Canada. Recycle Balls is a non-profit organization that aims to reduce the environmental impact of our sport by repurposing the rubber that would otherwise take several generations to decompose.
Recycle Balls turns our used tennis balls into the following
- Tennis courts
- Equestrian turf
- Rubber surfacing/sidewalks
- Playground Turf
- Rubber landscaping mulch
- Traffic safety equipment
Markham Tennis Academy collects balls at Armadale and delivers them to our friends at Recycle Balls. Together we aim to keep as many of Markham’s tennis balls as we can out of landfills.

Coming 2022
Markham Tennis Academy recognizes that not all children can participate in tennis within a group setting. Markham Tennis Academy is committed to helping children with developmental disorders receive private lessons from our friendly and well-trained staff. We help families afford these lessons by offering private lessons at a group rate for children with certain developmental disorders. Contact in[email protected] to find out how to enroll your child.
